SPRING ADVENTURE IDEAS
6th Feb 2023
With Spring being just around the corner, comes new adventures to plan! Whether that’s in your overlanding vehicle, RV, or motorhome, we want you to get the most out of your travels. We’ve compiled a list of three of the most popular spots to explore, as well as some of the equipment you’ll need along the way.
1. Joshua Tree National Park, California
Nestled in beautiful Southern California, Joshua Tree National Park has been a favorite ever since its inception in 1994. The park is well-known for its rugged characteristics, rock formations and the renowned Joshua Tree itself. It has multiple campgrounds on the premises and most sites can fit up to 25ft long RVs or trailers.
2. Grand Canyon, Arizona
The Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world. Spanning a total of 277 miles in length, 18 miles wide, and 1 mile deep, this destination will leave you in awe. Choose from river rafting, hiking down the actual canyon, and visiting the skywalk. Camping is also available at one of the many campgrounds next to the canyon.
3. Zion National Park, Utah
Zion National Park is known for its steep Red Cliffs and is one of the many treasures that Utah has to offer. This park offers various hiking trails, rock climbing, guided river trips, as well as camping. With open season running from March until late November, it makes for the perfect spring or summer vacation!
Now let’s talk equipment. If you won’t be using an RV or trailer, some of the most common things you will need are a propane stove, a tent, a portable fridge, and a survival first aid kit. Your fridge and most medium size appliances can be powered using your vehicle’s battery through its DC cigarette lighter. You can use our 20W Battery Maintainer Kit to keep the battery maintained. But if you want usable AC power, you can utilize our 2000W Inverter with Remote Control.
If you have an RV or Trailer, everything you’ll need will be integrated, however, you’ll need to keep your onboard batteries topped off by either mounting solar panels on the roof or using portable options, such as our brand new 200W Foldable Solar Panel Kit.
We hope this information is helpful in planning out your upcoming travels and adventures! No matter where you decide to go, Be Wise & Go Solar!
