SHOULD YOU DISCONNECT YOUR SOLAR SYSTEM BETWEEN TRIPS?

We recommend going about this by covering your panels with something that the sun can’t penetrate and by using a Solar Disconnect Switch. By disconnecting your system, you won’t have to worry about any potential damage occurring.

However, if you're only going to be away from your off-grid system for a short period such as a few days or a week, you may be able to leave it connected without any issues. Although, we still recommend disconnecting the system via a Solar Disconnect Switch as an added failsafe.
